Dear Friends!

We’re super excited about the new video trailer for our award-winning book 303 Squadron!

303 Squadron’s first victory occurred on August 30, 1940 — the day before the squadron was declared operational — when during a training exercise Lieutenant Ludwik Paszkiewicz downed a Messerschmitt 110.

From that date through October 11, 1940, when 303 Squadron was transferred for rest to Leconfield, it became the highest-scoring fighter squadron in the Battle of Britain, downing three times the average RAF squadron with one-third the casualties.

Behind the Video: Although we’ve had a simple slideshow trailer in the past, it’s been on my mind that this book deserved a more sophisticated video that would reflect its action-packed nature.

We are so fortunate to work with an extraordinary film editor here in Los Angeles, Christopher Ridder, who has done several of our trailers and other videos.

For the 303 Squadron trailer, Christopher wanted to create a video that would provide an authentic experience of the times and events chronicled in the book, which was written “live” during the Battle of Britain in the summer and fall of 1940.

He researched and used historical film footage from the Battle of Britain, and painstakingly animated and aged some of the still photos in the book, to blend them all seamlessly into a whole, accompanied by amazing music that he also found.

We hope you enjoy the trailer — maybe it will lead you to the book, if you haven’t already read it!

And in case you were wondering, all the material used in the trailer is either licensed or owned by us, or in the public domain.

Best regards,

Terry Tegnazian
