Poland First to Fight Reports

Dear Friends
During the months of May and June, Poland First to Fight carried out an active program of historical outreach and institutional representation. We participated in the Family Day celebration at Monteleón Base, headquarters of PCMASACOM, at the invitation of the historical reenactment association Codex Belix. During the event, we displayed uniforms of the Polish Carpathian Brigade from the North African campaign, together with a selection of weapons used in that theatre of operations.

We also had the honor of attending a reception at the Embassy of Poland in Madrid, where we had the opportunity to meet and speak with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Poland, further strengthening our longstanding ties with Polish institutions.
In the field of historical reenactment, we took part in an event dedicated to the Battle of the Falaise Pocket, organized by Asociación Arnhem in Silviella. On this occasion, we presented uniforms and equipment of the 1st Polish Armoured Division, highlighting the crucial contribution of Polish forces to the Allied victory in Western Europe during the Second World War.

Finally, we participated in the BRIPAC Veterans’ Day at Príncipe de Asturias Base in Paracuellos del Jarama. We displayed uniforms of the 1st Independent Polish Parachute Brigade and the Women’s Auxiliary Service of the Polish II Corps. We would like to express our gratitude to the command of BRIPAC and to Codex Belix for their invitation to take part in this important tribute to military veterans.

Poland First to Fight Reports from Spain

Queridos Amigos

Durante los meses de mayo y junio, Poland First to Fight desarrolló una intensa agenda de divulgación histórica y representación institucional. Participamos en el Día de las Familias celebrado en la Base de Monteleón, sede del PCMASACOM, invitados por la Asociación de Recreaciones Históricas Codex Belix, donde presentamos uniformes de la Brigada de los Cárpatos en el Norte de África y diverso armamento empleado en ese frente.

También tuvimos el honor de asistir a una recepción en la Embajada de Polonia en Madrid, donde pudimos compartir impresiones con el Excmo. Sr. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Viceprimer Ministro y Ministro de Defensa Nacional de Polonia, fortaleciendo los vínculos institucionales que mantenemos con las autoridades polacas.

En el ámbito de la recreación histórica, participamos en el evento dedicado a la Batalla de la Bolsa de Falaise, organizado por la Asociación Arnhem en Silviella, donde mostramos uniformes y equipamiento de la 1.ª División Acorazada Polaca, contribuyendo a la difusión del papel desempeñado por las fuerzas polacas en la liberación de Europa durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Finalmente, estuvimos presentes en el Día del Veterano de la BRIPAC, celebrado en la Base Príncipe de Asturias de Paracuellos del Jarama. En esta ocasión presentamos uniformes de la 1.ª Brigada Paracaidista Independiente Polaca y del Servicio Auxiliar Femenino del II Cuerpo Polaco, agradeciendo al mando de la BRIPAC y a Codex Belix la invitación a una jornada dedicada al recuerdo y reconocimiento de los veteranos.
