On Saturday, April 26th, we had the privilege of participating in Expohistórica in Belorado. At the Reina Sofía Municipal Theater, before a very large audience, we performed the concert “Scenes from the Warsaw Uprising” with the Krakus Spanish-Polish Cultural Association choir. During the concert, the choir magnificently performed iconic songs, such as “Dziś ide walczyk mamo,” “Chlopcy bagnet na bron,” “Marsz Mokotowa,” “Sanitariuszka Malgorzatka,” “Warszawskie Dzieci,” “Palacyk Michla,” “Chlopcy silni jak stał,” “Moja mała dziewczynka z AK,” and the immediate
post-war song, “Piosenka o mojej Warszawie.” During the concert, scenes from the Uprising were reenacted to the songs. Two encores were performed to the applause of the audience.
That same Saturday morning, we reenacted the Warsaw Uprising with a large audience. We want to thank the “Reenactors of Galicia” association for their help in playing the role of the Germans.
On Wednesday, May 30, we were at the Complutense Secondary School in Alcalá de Henares. Participating in a history class for first-year high school students, where we discussed Poland’s participation in World War II. We are very grateful to the IES administration and history teacher Alberto Corral for the invitation.

Scenes from the Warsaw Uprising in Spain

El sábado 26 de abril tuvimos el privilegio de participar en Expohistórica en Belorado. En el Teatro Municipal Reina Sofía, ante un público muy numeroso, interpretamos el concierto “Escenas del Levantamiento de Varsovia” junto al coro de la Asociacion Cultural Hispano -Polaca Krakus. Durante el mismo el coro interpretó magníficamente canciones emblemáticas del mismo, como “Dziś idę walczyć mamo”, “Chłopcy bagnet na bron”, “Marsz Mokotowa”, “Sanitariuszka Małgorzatka”, “Warszawskie Dzieci”, Pałacyk Michla”, “Chłopcy silni jak stal”, Moja mała dziewczynka z AK” o la canción de inmediata postguerra, Piosenka o mojej Warszawie”, durante el concierto see representaron escenas del Levantamiento acordes a las canciones. Ante los aplausos del público, se realizaron dos bises.
Ese mismo sábado, por la mañana, escenificamos el Levantamiento de Varsovia con una gran afluencia de público. Agradecemos a la asociación “recreadores de Galicia” su ayuda al representar el papel de los alemanes.
El miércoles 30 de mayo estuvimos en el IES Complutense de Alcalá de Henares, participando en una clase de historia a los alumnos de 1º de bachillerato, donde hablamos de la participación de Polonia en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Estamos muy agradecidos a la dirección del IES y al profesor de historia Alberto Corral por la invitación.
