Last April 11th, we had the opportunity to present a lecture at the Tercios Viejos Bookstore (c/Maria de Panes nº8) in which we talked about the role of the Polish Air Force in the Second World War.
Next April 27th marks the 80th anniversary of the death in action of Lieutenant Colonel Stanisław Poziomek and Sergeant Adam Sankowski, aviators of the Polish Squadron 304, the only two Poles participating in World War II buried in Spain. For this occasion, we have prepared a commemorative event, including a conference, a display of posters and information panels, and laying a wreath at the British cemetery.
The conference “The Polish Air Forces in the West during the Second World War and their contribution to the defeat of the Third Reich” will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Deustuko Barrutiko Udaltegia (Municipal Center of the District of Deusto, Aguirre Lehendakaria, 42, Bilbao).
On May 4th we will participate in the Belorado Historical Expo with the conference “Polacas de Armas Tomar” in which we will talk about the thousands of Polish women who actively participated in the Second World War and who contributed, overcoming all kinds of obstacles, to the defeat. of the Third Reich, will be accompanied by a presentation of women’s uniforms.

El pasado día 11 de abril tuvimos la oportunidad de impartir una conferencia en la Librería Tercios Viejos (c/Maria de Panes nº8) en la que hablamos del papel de las Fuerzas Aéreas Polacas en la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
El próximo 27 de abril se conmemora el 80º aniversario de la muerte en acción del Teniente Coronel Stanisław Poziomek y el Sargento Adam Sankowski, aviadores del escuadrón polaco 304, los dos únicos polacos participantes en la Segunda Guerra Mundial enterrados en España. Para la ocasión hemos preparado un acto conmemorativo que acoge una conferencia, una muestra de carteles y paneles informativos, y una ofrenda floral en el cementerio británico..
La conferencia “Las fuerzas aéreas polacas en Occidente durante la 2ª Guerra Mundial y su contribución a la derrota del III Reich” tendrá lugar de 11 a 12.30 horas en Deustuko Barrutiko Udaltegia (Centro Municipal de Distrito de Deusto, Aguirre Lehendakaria, 42, Bilbao).
El 4 de mayo participaremos en la Expohistórica de Belorado con la conferencia “Polacas de armas Tomar” en la que hablaremos de las miles de mujeres polacas que participaron activamente en la Segunda Guerra Mundial y que contribuyeron, superando toda clase de obstáculos, a la derrota del III Reich, se acompañará de una presentación de uniformes femeninos.
